Sourena attempts to translate his vision of a dehumanized world using organic materials. He constructs surfaces where only darkness and raw wounds remain. By utilizing natural materials, he aims to portray nature rebelling against human beings, expressing their anger. Having grown up near the forest in northern Iran, he is deeply influenced by the image of trees, often choosing to depict them as symbols of the entire natural world, as seen in this series of black and white drawings portraying dark and cold spaces.

During an exhibition at a gallery in Bordeaux, Sourena created an ephemeral mural on a vast 36 m² wall. In resonance with the series of drawings, he chose to represent an immense emaciated tree in which feminine forms were concealed, evoking a humanity intricately connected to the fate of nature and drawing attention to these two elements that, from his perspective, demand particular attention and respect.
